It's called mica and it is possible to purchase it. If you do an internet search for ';cosmetic mica'; you will come up with lots of resources for purchasing it to make your own cosmetics. Glitter from Walmart or a craft store is not appropriate for cosmetic use.What is the little sparkle stuff used in lip balm and lotion etc?
All the sparkles are glitter just like you can buy at wal-mart

MAC has this stuff called ';pigment'; it comes in a little jar and there is sparkly ones and matte ones and just a bunch of different colors.. u can apply it to your lip gloss and lotion ( i do) u can also use it wet or dry as eyeshadow or liner and sometimes i mix it in my nailpolish for a different look.
