Carmex has a glossy look to it. Soft Lips has a glossy look to it and it smells really good. You can buy it at any drugstore and it only costs $2.Is there a type of lip balm that's cheap and has a somewhat glossy look?
Chap-Stick, the brand. It works for some people, it might not work for you. I think it's glossy; it makes your lips shiny. Blistex also makes your lips shiny, and it smells AMAZING. I have the berry kind, and the smell is sweet, but sometimes it's a bit strong. Their Strawberry Banana, which is limited edition (you can probably still get it at Target in a pack), smells less strong and it works. For a pack, it's about $3.


Nivea is a VERY good moisturizing lip balm. It costs about $2. Just put it on at night and your lips will become soft and nice!


Soft Lips is also a great alternative. I've used up two tubes, but mostly because it didn't moisturize my lips. I kept reapplying, and it was also very shiny and nice.


You could also use Vaseline/petroleum jelly to make it shiny. If you want some color, you could mix Vaseline with a pigment.

I use Lucas' Paw-Paw Ointment. It's supposed to be for Burns, Cuts, etc, but it's really good for chapped lips. It's really glossy and lasts a long time - I love-love-love it! Makeup Artists actually reccomended this in Magazines, and I had to try it :)


It doesn't smell that nice though... Try it anyway, it's perfect.

I sometimes use ones by Nivea that are soft and gloosy, and tint the lips a faint shade of pink. You can also mix petroleum jelly with a bit of lip colour to get a very soft shade.
